Christian Wehrle is a Berlin-based filmmaker and technical diver specializing in underwater documentaries. Diving since his teens and trained in technical and cave diving for decades, he combines exploration, cinematography, and a deep fascination for places beyond the reach of most divers. His work focuses on wrecks, flooded mines, caves, and other hidden underwater environments, often filmed in demanding conditions and at significant depth. With his documentary Hidden Worlds, he brings audiences into remote and rarely seen locations across Europe and beyond, capturing not only their visual beauty, but also the atmosphere, history, and challenge of reaching them. Wehrle’s films are driven by a passion for diving, adventure, and cinematic storytelling, with a particular interest in places that remain unseen by most of the world.
